Privacy policy

Effective 25 October 2026

1. Who we are

GlissTouch is made and sold by Harvey Tran, an independent developer based in [country]. In this policy “we” means Harvey Tran. You can reach us at support@example.com.

The short version: GlissTouch doesn’t collect personal data. There are no analytics and no tracking, in the app or on this site.

2. What stays on your Mac

Your gestures, actions and settings are stored on your Mac, in ~/Library/Application Support/GlissTouch and the app’s preferences. They are never sent anywhere.

GlissTouch uses the Accessibility permission to read trackpad touches and to press shortcuts for your actions. It looks at touches only to recognize gestures and keeps no record of them.

3. License activation

Pro works on up to 3 Macs per license. To enforce that, the license server keeps only:

Activating sends your license key and that anonymous id. The daily license check sends the activation, and nothing about the check is recorded.

4. Update checks

Once a day GlissTouch downloads a small file that lists the newest version. Like any download it carries your IP address and the app’s version. We don’t log these requests.

5. This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its fonts and icons are served from this site, not from third parties.

The site and the license server run on Cloudflare, which processes requests, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect them. We don’t store IP addresses.

6. Payments

Purchases are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your name, email, payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. Paddle sends us an order reference and your email address; we keep the order reference and a one way hash of the email with your license.

7. How long we keep it

License records are kept for as long as the license exists. Rows for deactivated Macs stay with the license, marked deactivated, because the deactivation limit counts them. If you ask us to delete your license data, we do, and the license stops working.

8. Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about your license, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us from the address you bought with, or include your license key, and we answer within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK, we process license data to provide the license you bought (contract) and to prevent abuse of it (legitimate interest). You can complain to your local data protection authority.

9. When you email us

If you write to support, we keep your message and email address to answer you and to help with your license later. We delete them when you ask, or when they’re no longer needed.

10. Children

GlissTouch isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update this page and its effective date. Important changes are also mentioned in the app’s release notes.
